Stoke City have told Saido Berahino they are cancelling his contract, according to a report from the Mail

The decision comes after the striker was fined £75,000 and banned from driving for 30 months after being caught almost three times over the legal alcohol limit in his Range Rover back in February.

He is reportedly challenging the club’s decision to sack him.

Berahino moved to Stoke in 2017 after impressing for West Brom, but has only scored five goals in 56 appearances for the Potters while dealing with personal issues off the field.

He last played for Stoke in February, nine days before the driving offence was committed.
