Spurs player shares post slamming club chiefs after Arsenal loss

He seems to have hit out at the club.

A Tottenham Hotspur player has shared a post on X slamming club chiefs following the 1-0 loss at home to Arsenal yesterday.

Ange Postecoglou’s side lost their second game of the Premier League season at the expense of Gabriel Magalhaes’ 64th minute header in the North London derby.

Despite a spirited attempt in their fightback, Spurs were unable to score an equaliser and force themselves back into the game.

And now one of the top stars has taken to social media to vent his frustration at how the club acted before the match.

Argentinian international Cristian Romero was blamed by fans across social media as Gabriel easily shrugged off the player for the match-winner.

After the game, he responded to the criticism received by sharing an X post from from Argentine TV reporter Gaston Edul:

The post, originally wrote in Spanish, translated to:

“Tottenham lost to Arsenal again.

“They weren’t able to fight until the end because they weren’t across the details.

“It was the only Premier League club that made their international players return, on their own and without proper logistics, on the decision of the club’s leadership.

“They gave away the advantage because their players arrived with less rest than the others: Cuti Romero played with tiredness.”

Only five days before the Sunday, Romero started for Argentina in their 2-1 defeat to Colombia.

Most commonly, national federations organise travel to and from the nation for games.

Despite this, some clubs organise private travel to get players back as soon as possible.

Romero later deleted the repost.
