Spurs fans are not happy with Fernando Llorente’s behaviour at full time

He wasn't exactly heartbroken

Fernando Llorente didn’t need much consoling after Spurs’ derby defeat on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal claimed a 2-0 victory over their North London rivals at the Emirates in the first fixture since the return of the Premier League after a fortnight of international action.

First-half goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez ensured that all three points and bragging rights would remain with the Gunners.

Two of the visitors’ most reliable dangermen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, were substituted after 75 minutes, with the latter being replaced by Llorente.

The Spaniard has yet to score for Tottenham since signing from Swansea on deadline day and while supporters were seemingly quite patient with Llorente up to now, he did himself no favours with his behaviour on the full time whistle.

As Sky Sports’ camera panned to several dejected Spurs players with their heads in their hands, suddenly Llorente entered the frame.

The 32-year-old was seen laughing and joking with fellow countrymen Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin, which is not exactly a great look following a derby day defeat.

Even if some players don’t fully appreciate the fact that their club’s fans will have to sheepishly walk into work and endure the boasts of rival supporters in the office, they should at least pretend to comprehend it.
