Even Spartak don’t want Ronaldo
Spartak Moscow’s Twitter admin is at it again after they bodied Cristiano Ronaldo’s lack of success at finding a move away from Manchester United with a hilarious tweet.
Ronaldo informed United that he wanted to leave the Red Devils after they failed to qualify for the Champions League, citing his ambition to win trophies as the main reason.
Since his announcement the 37-year-old hasn’t had any success, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all ruling out moves for the Portugal international.
And now a new club has also denounced their interest in signing Ronaldo in Spartak, who decided to pounce on the opportunity and let the forward know that they would also not be signing him.
Ronaldo won’t be moving to Spartak anytime soon
Spartak’s English language social media account has grown a reputation for its humorous tweets in recent years, and this is another one to add to the collection.
The club shared an image of an Instagram direct message that showed a message from Ronaldo saying “Hi, Spartak”, however they responded with a simple “No.”

Spartak experienced their own heartbreak in a failed ‘attempt’ to sign Lionel Messi
As well as Ronaldo’s ‘failed attempt’ to secure a move to Spartak, they shared an image of the time they tried to lure Lionel Messi to the Otkrytie Arena in 2021, after it became apparent he would be allowed to speak to other clubs about a free transfer when he had six months left on his deal at Barcelona.
Unfortunately for Spartak though, the shoe was on the other foot as Messi turned them down on that occasion, leaving them to caption their unsuccessful attempt with “Pain.”

Above their post showing their interaction with Ronaldo, Spartak said “Pain again. But not for us this time.”
Ronaldo has still yet to link up with the United squad for pre-season, with the Red Devils currently in Australia as part of their preparations for the 2022/23 campaign.
