The Sky commentators had just been discussing Ronaldo's reliability from the penalty spot when the Madrid superstar blazed over.
It was perfect timing but we don't think the Portuguese will quite enjoy the humour that we all saw in it.
Fun fact: The penalty was the first from Ronaldo in La Liga from which he actually missed the target altogether, missed six in total.

Perhaps Ronaldo was just sweating a bit out of the mulled wine he had over Christmas as he looked in much more confident form twenty minutes later when he buried his next attempt from 12 yards.
