Jose Mourinho's criticism of Eva Carneiro and her medical team following Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Swansea was lots of things.

It was shameless in its intent to distract from a lacklustre performance. Cheeky too, that he sought to blame the medics duped by a player feigning injury rather than the fake crock himself. But Mourinho's bellyaching certainly wasn't sexist - quite the opposite in fact. Mourinho is an equal opportunities employer of b*llshit. His b*llshit knows no creed, colour or gender. The fact that he had no qualms about throwing Carneiro under the bus to divert attention away from a crap day at the office shows that he doesn't consider her a lesser or weaker target than anyone else. She is no delicate flower in need of protection or kid gloves. Rather she's a 41-year-old professional who has excelled in her chosen career and knows full well the perils of working with the Snarling One. Sticking up for her with specific reference to her gender like some heroic white knight is patronising in the extreme, and similar to gushing over Sian Massey for getting an offside decision right. It's her f*cking job, low expectation motherf*ckers. Back to Jose. No one is suggesting that he deserves a medal for his services to gender equality - especially after his comments that Rafa Benitez's wife should worry about his diet - but he's not sexist for having a pop at Carneiro. He is just a bit of a w*nker when he doesn't get his own way. A lot of one actually - but then so was Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish and many other great managers. There's a definite correlation between relentless winners and relentless w*nkers. They go hand in hand, like cobblers and key cutters. Mourinho will do anything to benefit his team and avoid wholescale analysis of his side's failings. In his eyes, Carneiro is a member of his non-playing staff and therefore justified collateral damage. She's not the fairer sex, she's simply fair game.
