Sergio Ramos ‘Likes’ Instagram post criticising Real Madrid teammates

Sergio Ramos is a man who doesn’t tend to hide how he feels

The Real Madrid captain is a pretty big wheel down at the cracker factory that is the Santiago Bernabeu, and he is undoubtedly one of the most influential people at the club.

It has been a turbulent start to the season for the reigning Champions League winners, one which has become even more rocky after the LaLiga said “so long” to manager Julen Lopetegui.

Prior to Lopetegui’s sacking and in the direct aftermath of Madrid’s 5-1 El Clasico humiliation at the hands of rivals Barcelona, Ramos was his usual forthcoming self when asked about the now-sacked manager’s future.

“We’re fully behind the manager… but we’ll see what happens in the next few hours and tomorrow,” said Ramos, less than a day before the former Porto manager was kicked to the curb by Florentino Perez.

With Lopetegui gone one might assume that things are all rosy again in Madrid, but in truth there has been lots of discontent among fans and players regarding the performances of certain members of the team.

Three of these players were attacked via Instagram recently, by an account known by the total and completely and not at all weird moniker @sergio_ramos_idol.

In a post the account decided to criticise goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defenders Nacho and Raphael Varane, saying as follows:

“Ok, enough is enough,” wrote a fan account. “What was this, what?????? Do you remember what shirt you wear??? Do you????

“Why is Courtois our goalkeeper? I mean does he even know he is goalkeeper or what??? Useless…..”

“Awful defence, just horrible omg. Nacho’s worst ever performance, Varane just didn’t know what to do after becoming world champion….

“Marcelo and Ramos the only ones that did something although there were defensive mistakes from them too….. midfield?? Didn’t exist…. Attack??? Not found…… coach??? Going to be sacked….

“This whole situation is because the players play without motivation, without desire to win…. they just run on the pitch for I don’t know what….. mehhh, I don’t want to continue, or this is going to become a very big statement with all problems of this team.”

Now, this is all weird enough as it is. But then Sergio Ramos had to go and throw fuel on the fire by liking the post. Does this mean that he agrees with everything that ‘sergio_ramos_idol’ believes and says?

Or is it merely a case that Sergio Ramos saw the words ‘Sergio’, ‘Ramos’ and ‘idol’ all next to each other and decided it was something he was into?
