Serge Gnabry once again shows Arsenal what they lost – watch the goals

Serge Gnabry scored a brace to send Bayern Munich to their first Champions League final since 2013 tonight, reminding Arsenal what they missed

Serge Gnabry is really good

You might have heard this already, so forgive me if you have, but Serge Gnabry once played for Arsenal? Mad, I know. He also went on loan to West Brom and hardly featured! Nobody mentions this ever, so I thought I’d remind you. No need to thank me, honestly it’s fine. Stop.

Anyway, Gnabry now plays for Bayern Munich, who are really good at the moment, probably the best team in the world in fact. Tonight, Bayern reached the Champions League final for the first time since 2013, beating Lyon 3-0 i n Lisbon. Gnabry scored two of the goals, showing Arsenal what could have been.

The first was a beautiful, powerful shot on his weak foot, which came from a powerful and intricate dribble inwards from the right wing.

His second goal was a bit easier, and should have been scored by Robert Lewandowski. But you have to be in the right place at the right time to get these rebounds and Gnabry was ready to feast on these scraps.

It was Gnabry’s night but after missing the aforementioned chance, Lewandowski couldn’t end the night without a goal and duly made it three to put the tie to bed with an emphatic header, his 15th goal in the Champions League this season.

Bosh.

Bayern will play Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night in what promises to be a humdinger of a final. High, intense pressing, fast counter attacks. It’s gonna have the lot. I’m predicting a 5-4 Bayern win.
