It was a huge shock to everyone...except Scotland's supporters.
The country's footballers have failed to reach a major tournament since 1998, and Georgia dented their chances just eight years ago with a 2-0 win that cost them a place at Euro 2008.
Scottish fans might have been cautiously optimistic beforehand, but that soon changed during the game.
