'Savills worker' investigated over racist tweets towards England players

Savills are investigating

Savills, a property investment firm has launched an investigation into racist tweets allegedly posted by an employee after England's loss at the Euros on Sunday.

After his comments were picked up on social media, internet sleuths found the man's LinkedIn and connected him with Savills, a leading property firm with branches up and down the country.

"..and this man is a senior manager? In a position of leadership? Yet he feels it's OK to express himself like this? He is his showing his true thoughts... @Savills, what do you think? Want someone like this representing your brand?" writes Louise.

"Your losing your job tomorrow morning," writes another.

His employer had the following to say:

Savills is committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst our workforce. A full investigation will be carried out in regards to this unacceptable incident.

Savills abhors and has zero tolerance to any form of racism and racial discrimination and is appalled by the racist comments in these tweets.

"Savills is immediately investigating and will take appropriate action."

Many question whether he will get a slap on the wrist or lose his job entirely; after all, racism is a criminal offence.
