Following the Senegal v Morocco AFCON final on Sunday 18th January, the African football governing body has handed out the sanctions.
In a memorable match that will go down in football history, there was also plentiful drama.
Fan issues, players walking off the pitch, a missed penalty and controversial refereeing decisions were all major talking points.
On Thursday, the Confederation of African Football handed out punishments for both sides, as well as individual players and managers.
Senegal manager Pape Thiaw has received a five-match ban from CAF and fined $100,000 for his involvement, in what has been described as "unsporting conduct".
CAF have also fined the Senegalese footballing federation (FSF) $300,000 for the “improper conduct of supporters,” with fans clashing with police towards the end of the match.
The FSF also received a further $300,000 fine for the conduct of their players and staff, as well as a subsequent $15,000 fine for five players receiving yellow cards from the referee.
Senegalese players Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye and Ismaïla Sarr were given two-game bans for their actions towards the match official.
Morocco too, have been handed hefty penalties for their actions during the chaotic final.
Captain of the Morocco team, Achraf Hakimi, received a two-game ban from CAF, where one of the games is suspended for a year, for his "unsporting behaviour" in the match.
Ismael Saibari was also handed a ban for three official CAF matches and fined $100,000 for his behaviour.
The Moroccan footballing federation was also fined $315,000, which included punishment for the behaviour of players and staff in the final.
The fine given also includes the behaviour of ball boys, who were attempting to take away the hand towel of the Senegalese goalkeeper during the match.
