First Jon Jones and now this? An injury-hit UFC week could be ending on a high note.
Rory MacDonald charmed just about everyone he met during his week of promotional work in the fair city, ahead of UFC Fight Night Dublin.
Open and honest, the Canadian gave an insight into his true, relaxed personality away from the trials, weight cuts and tribulations of a fight week.
However, MacDonald may have been too forthcoming during Friday's Q&A at the 3 Arena.
The Red King was asked if he could ever envisage himself and Tristar gym-mate Georges St-Pierre competing for the same welterweight title... if GSP were to return.
MacDonald answered, "From what we've talked about, he's not coming back for the belt. He is coming back for the odd fight that interests him."
This led to a huge stir in the Dublin crowd so MacDonald quickly added, "If. If he comes back. Okay, keep it in your pants!"
MacDonald added, "I don't know if he is coming back. As far as I know, if he does [return], he's focusing on super-fights and whatnot."
Although they may both be past their prime, a super-fight between Anderson Silva and GSP would be some prospect.
