Romelu Lukaku’s Instagram account has been hacked

Paul Moore

It seems that the Manchester United striker hasn’t noticed yet.

Romelu Lukaku is quite active on Instagram and his account was frequently visited this summer as he enjoyed a holiday with Paul Pogba in the US.

At the time, the Belgian striker was still an Everton player but the various images with Pogba caused United fans to get excited about the prospect of him joining the club.

Since moving to Old Trafford, Lukaku has scored three times in the league – he followed up his brace against West Ham on the opening weekend with the second goal in United’s 4-0 demolition of Swansea – and while his position in their starting XI seems safe and secure, the same cannot be said about his Instagram account.

The hacker hasn’t left left any rude or derogatory comments on Lukaku’s page. Instead, they chose to link back to publish various posts which link back to a musician’s Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube accounts.

At the time of writing, the most recent post on the Belgian’s Instagram account was made at 21:05 and it’s the exact same post that preceded it.

Take a look.

The last update that was genuinely published by Lukaku is the one below that was posted after United’s win at the Liberty Stadium.

The £76m striker will be looking to continue his good start to the season when United host Leicester City on Saturday.

We’re certain that his Instagram followers will prefer to see images like the one below as opposed to those that were left by the hacker.

Squad? good win today! @manchesterunited
