Romelu Lukaku angers Manchester United with interview, claims report

Not the best of starts

Simon Lloyd

By the sounds of things, Romelu Lukaku hasn’t made the best of starts to life at Manchester United.

With his big money switch from Everton yet to be officially confirmed by either club, it’s being reported that the Belgian has already angered his new / soon-to-be employers.

According to the Express, United bosses are ‘livid’ with Lukaku for giving an interview with ESPN FC while on holiday in Los Angeles, in which he speaks openly about his move to Manchester.

As you might expect, United had expected to be the first to conduct an interview with Lukaku about his move – as they had done with Paul Pogba following his move from Juventus a year ago.

United have now arrived in LA ahead of their three-week summer tour of the US. Lukaku – who is thought to have done his medical ahead of his United move at UCLA – will almost certainly be present for the club’s first training session on Monday.

Pogba, who has been seen on social media spending time with Lukaku, is also expected to be present.

United take on LA Galaxy on July 15 at the StubHub Center – a game which could see Lukaku take to the field for his new club for the first time.
