Richarlison has been handed his first ever senior Brazil call-up after a prolific start to the season.

He replaces the injured Pedro, of Richarlison’s former club Fluminense, for the upcoming friendlies.

Richarlison has scored three goals in his first three league appearances for Everton; an excellent start at Goodison Park which was slightly soured by the red card he was shown against Bournemouth at the weekend.

The winger was drawn into a spat with Adam Smith and pushed his face into his opponents, giving the referee no choice by to send him off.

In the upcoming international break, Brazil will play the United States of America and El Salvador in two friendly matches that will give Richarlison the opportunity to show why he deserves to be a regular in the seleção.

Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira will also make his senior debut for Brazil in this international break.

Pereira’s teammate Fred also features in the squad, as well as Barcelona’s new signing Arthur.
