Viewers enjoyed Sergio Ramos’ reaction to the latest Ronaldo-Messi handshake

Cristiano Ronaldo, as we're all vey much aware by now, is a bit good at football.

In fact, he's so good that it seems the majority of his time in between matches is spent picking up some kind of award. This was again the case on Thursday afternoon when the 32-year-old, 82 days on from chipping in with a couple of goals in Real Madrid's latest Champions League final success, was named Uefa's Best Player in Europe. Lionel Messi was (of course) also in the running to win the award but, not for the first time in recent months, had to watch Ronnie take home the top prize. Between them, Messi and Ronaldo have mopped up every Ballon d'Or title going since 2007. Realistically, nobody else has even had a look in. Although some will have you believe the two players are sworn enemies and can't stand the sight of each other, both men can at least offer the other the odd congratulatory handshake when required. Precisely this happened after Ronaldo accepted his latest award on Thursday. With Gianluigi Buffon (also nominated) quick to congratulate Ronaldo, Messi too extended a hand to him. With not even a hint of animosity to be detected between Messi and Ronaldo, many were more interested in the reaction of another Real Madrid player: Sergio Ramos... https://twitter.com/iabhipat/status/900770732388605952 https://twitter.com/MadridMalaysia/status/900769064414437376?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mirror.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Fnews%2Freal-madrid-fans-loved-sergio-11048939 https://twitter.com/Yincar/status/900763651304566784 https://twitter.com/007jerrywow/status/900772491538210816?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mirror.co.uk%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Fnews%2Freal-madrid-fans-loved-sergio-11048939 https://twitter.com/Bernabeu_Babe/status/900765141477752832 https://twitter.com/halamadrid7kh/status/900807908719546369 Although it's far more likely that Ramos is simply smiling because he's happy for his teammate, some appear to suggest the grin was more to do with Messi going home empty handed. Clearly, the idea of Ramos being so disrespectful towards the Argentine is utterly ridiculous... Oh wait, what's this?
