Real Betis have unveiled a special kit they will wear against Malaga on February 28.
The kit is being worn to mark Andalusian Day, a public holiday in the region to celebrate Andalusia becoming an autonomous region of Spain, and it pays homage to the club’s origins.
Betis’ kit is also inspired by Celtic, as it turns out there is a historical link between the two clubs.
In 1911, one of Real Betis’ co-founders returned from a business trip to Glasgow with a set of Celtic jerseys, donated by the Scottish club.
Until that point Betis wore blue shirts with white shorts, but they were so impressed with Celtic’s gesture, they adopted the club’s colours. However, they put their own spin on the design.
Betis’ jersey has stripes, rather than hoops.
But, for one day later this month, Betis’ jersey will feature hoops.

The Spanish side aren’t the only continental team who can trace their club colours back to the United Kingdom.
Juventus famously owe their black and white kit to Notts County.
In 1903, John Savage, an Englishman who played for the Italian team, ordered new jerseys from his friend in Nottingham because Juventus’ pink kit had faded.
His friend sent him Notts County jerseys and the club still wear black and white.
