The Spanish midfielder has had an incredible career, and retires having won two Champions League crowns, and league titles in Spain and Germany. As well as the World Cup and the European Championships.
He also remains a hero to Liverpool fans, and during his five-year spell at Anfield he made 210 appearances scoring 18 goals.
