Two Premier League giants have reportedly held talks regarding Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez, as per various reports.
The former Manchester City man is seen to be unhappy in Madrid, with questions over his long-term future plunged into sudden doubt.
Barcelona pose an interest, though despite Alvarez preferring a move to the Catalan capital, long-term financial restraints of the club would be an issue.
A move back to the top-flight of England is a possibility too though, with Arsenal and Chelsea posing an interest, as per TEAMtalk.
Alvarez, having previously won the league and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola, would reportedly consider a re-location to the capital city of London.
Transfer guru and football reporter David Ornstein has also weighed in on the situation of Alvarez:
"Arsenal were considering him (Alvarez) in the last market. His name came up and it has since been reported that you could see that sort of player coming into Arsenal.
"If there is going to be some outward maneuvering (loan or permanent) then there is definitely scope for an arrival."
