Naturally, the first thing on most of our minds when we woke up on Thursday morning was 'hey, what's Phil Neville having for breakfast?'
Fortunately, all we had to do was check the former Manchester United and Everton player's Twitter to find out.
Fast forward a couple of hours later and here we are, writing a story about it. (Hello, Pulitzer Prize!)
With a big day in store for Phil at the Star Sixes, he opted to start it with a plateful of scrambled eggs, mushrooms and bacon.

Ignoring the fact that there's absolutely no evidence to suggest that the former England international prepared the food himself, his breakfast (mainly the bacon element) and Phil himself were soon attracting criticism. What a cruel, cruel world...
We kind of get what this one meant, even if describing the meat of a long-since-dead pig as 'terminally ill' doesn't really make that much sense.

Generally speaking, the bacon was taking a real bashing...

Instead of just having a pop at some bacon, others decided to get a little more personal. Poor Phil.

With Adam here deciding that eating this kind of breakfast made Phil a 'fucking meff'

Elsewhere, others took the breakfast as a sign that Phil was beginning a prison sentence.

Others deemed it worthy of a visit from environmental health...

Even the fucking plate was drawing questions...
