We're over a quarter of the way through the Premier League season, and already a few players are making an early case for player of the year.

Leicester City and West Ham in particular are performing better than anyone could have expected, with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Dimitri Payet all earning rave reviews for their fine performances.

Mesut Ozil has emphatically muted his doubters with his weekly masterclass of peerless playmaking, whereas Mancunian recruits Kevin de Bruyne and Anthony Martial have enriched the Premier League with their dazzling skills.
