Piers Morgan wishes table-topping Arsenal were more like fourth-placed Spurs

Kevin Beirne

It’s hard to find a less supportive fan than Piers Morgan.

The TV host claims to support Arsenal, but his constant moaning and criticisms of the Gunners and Arsene Wenger might have you thinking otherwise.

Morgan appeared on BBC Radio 5 live to discuss the weekend’s FA Cup action.

Arsenal won their 13th FA Cup game in a row – a run that extends back to February 2013 – with a 3-1 defeat of Sunderland, while Tottenham needed a controversial late penalty to force a replay with Leicester City.

Despite this, Morgan appeared to suggest that the Gunners should try to be more like their North London neighbours.

Spurs have conceded two fewer goals in the Premier League this season, good for the best record in the league, but Arsenal’s haul of six more points means they’re leading the table where it actually matters.
