Pep Guardiola has signed a new contract at Man City

Pep isn't going away anytime soon.

He’ll be at City longer than he was Barcelona manager.

Pep Guardiola has pledged his future to Man City, signing a brand new contract that will see him remain at the Etihad for another three seasons.

Man City announced the news via their official Twitter account, with a snazzy little video featuring some music and Pep signing a bit of paper that was definitely, definitely the actual real contract and not just a blank bit of A4.

The news means that the current Premier League champions will be keeping Pep longer than Bayern Munich and Barcelona, his two previous roles in management, where he completed three seasons and four seasons respectively.

Guardiola joined Man City at the start of the 16-17 season, and went trophy-less for the very first time in his career, calling the season a “failure”.

He quickly turned things around, however, and his City side became the first team to break the 100 point barrier this season.

Long may the beautiful football and Benjamin Mendy’s shark team tweets continue.
