With Bayern looking likely to retain their Bundesliga title, club chiefs are concerned that the former Barcelona manager's agreement with City will distract him as the club eye Champions League success.
With Bayern facing a difficult tie against in-form Italian champions Juventus, it is now being suggested by the same report that failure to progress to the quarter finals of this season's competition could spell a premature end to Guardiola's time in Germany.
Perhaps it would be more intriguing if Bayern progressed, and drew Manchester City in the quarter finals...
