Paul Scholes has offered out his personal phone number to Man United defender Lisandro Martinez, amidst a growing war of words between the two Red Devils figures.
Martinez went into last Saturday's Manchester derby with something of a point to prove, after Scholes had suggested City striker Erling Haaland would have an easy job scoring against the Argentine centre-half.

Before Man United's shock 2-0 victory, Scholes had said: "Martinez against Haaland [...] he’d score, then throw him in the net."
Scholes' prediction would ultimately be incorrect, as the Red Devils comprehensively outplayed Pep Guardiola's side, winning via goals from Bryan Mbuemo and Patrick Dorgu, with Martinez keeping an impressive clean sheet.
When asked by reporters about the impact of Scholes' comments after full-time, Martinez said: "Honestly, he [Scholes] can say whatever he wants. I told him already, if he wants to say something to me, he can come to wherever he wants.
"To my house, wherever. I don't care. And I think, for me, I respect the relations when they want to help the club because everyone can talk on the television. But when you sit here face-to-face, no one says anything in your face."
Paul Scholes has now finally responded to Martinez, while speaking on another episode of The Good, The Bad, and The Football Podcast.
"We exchanged messages on Instagram," Scholes said.
"I sent him my phone number, I've not heard anything from him!" He added.
It remains to be seen if a resolution can be found between the current and former Man United stars over coming weeks.
