The Paddock podcast panel have provided their big four tips for Saturday’s racing action at Sandown and Aintree.
The Paddock is a brand new weekly show bringing together some of the most legendary voices in racing: Oli Bell, Nick Luck, Rishi Persad and Tom Stanley, plus special guests.
In episode two, the panel discussed Constitution Hill’s future, what got them into horse racing, and Oli Bell told the agonising story of how he missed out on the best part of £350k by being loyal to his family. Ouch!
“Top weight, and he’s won over this trip last year. I think he’s a Grand National horse. If he is to be what I think he is this year, I expect him to win on Saturday.”
“He was not right he was beaten by Elite Etoile at the back end of last year, and Cheltenham is not his bag, but this is. I think 9/2 is far too big with two horses ahead of him in the market.”
"I’m hoping he runs in the London National, because that is over a more suitable trip for him. He’s won here at Sandown in the past, and was given the perfect prep run to come here. Gavin Sheehan will ride him, and I think he is a good thing. I’d be shocked if he does’t win."
"He beat a really nice horse called Jax Junior by 19 lengths at Uttoxeter, and I think he’s a horse that is all about speed, and will absolutely love this track."
