Ousmane Dembele looks set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season after the two parties failed to reach an agreement on signing a new deal.
The Frenchman is reaching the last six months of his current deal, leaving him free to speak to other clubs in January, but Dembele has pushed back negotiations several times with the Catalan club now seemingly reluctant to restart talks again.
Spanish journalist Gerard Romero broke the news on Twitter with Fabrizio Romano also reporting and describing the situation as a "real danger."

As per 90min, Dembele was reportedly unwilling to take a pay cut to help out with the club's dire financial situation and has been disappointed by the decision to sign Ferran Torres from Manchester City.
It's the latest in a series of poor recruitment decisions from Barcelona again with them now set to lose a player that they signed for over €100 million just four years ago for nothing.
As for the winger's next destination, it is likely the winger will be in-demand given his relatively young age. Newcastle United has been touted as a possible destination now that they have an embarrassment of riches at their disposal, but he may be put off given their current Premier League status is under threat.
The 24-year-old has made 126 appearances in his time at the Camp Nou, scoring 30 goals and assisting 23 times.
