Now that the opening ceremony is out of the way, the Rugby World Cup can finally begin.

With such a build up, World Rugby knew they had to do something special for the opening ceremony and they really knocked it out of the park with this fabulous promo. Going all the way back to the beginning of the sport, the video shows the story of how William Webb Ellis picked up the ball in a game of football and ran with it - thus creating the sport we know today.
