Djokovic isn’t liked by the Wimbledon crowd at the best of times

Novak Djokovic clearly aired his frustrations towards the Wimbledon crowd during the men’s singles final against Carlos Alacaraz by sarcastically clapping them.

Djokovic has found it difficult to win over the Wimbledon crowd throughout his career and Sunday was no different, with those lucky enough to get a ticket for centre court clearly on the side of Alcaraz.

For each point Alcaraz would win there was considerably louder cheer for the 21-year-old Spaniard which appeared to irk the reigning champion and was seen applauding the crowd as a word of warning to say that he was listening.

Several A-list guests were also in attendance, including Hollywood star Brad Pitt and Prince William to watch the spectacle.

Earlier in the tournament, the 36-year-old pretended to cry as the Wimbledon faithful once again actively chose not to support him.

At the time of writing, Djokovic is currently leading having won the first set but his opponent isn’t making things easy and is coming into his own.

A win for the Serb will result in a 24th Grand Slam victory and also take him back to the top of the world rankings, switching places with Alcaraz who is destined to be the next big thing on the courts.
