Newcastle miss out on Brazilian left-back due to work permit complications

It's been a frustrating window for Newcastle fans

Newcastle have endured a tough transfer window. Mike Ashley has been typically tight with his spending, relying on Rafa Benitez's heroics to keep the club in the top flight with limited resources for the second consecutive season.
