Leicester City's season has been nothing short of disastrous. Originally tipped for an immediate promotion back to the big time, the Foxes have instead suffered the unthinkable - back-to-back relegations.
On paper, Gary Rowett's side are still star-studded for such a loss to occur, meaning with a League 1 season awaiting, shifts to the monster wage bill will likely have to be made.
We've seen big clubs in the third division before, Wolves in 2013/14, Southampton between 2009/11, Leeds United even plunged below the second tier in 2007, before they started their long climb back to the Prem.
Though these three practically always ply their trade between the top-two tiers of English football, none have experienced the glorious highs of winning the Premier League like Leicester.
A decade ago, The Foxes were beating Swansea City to edge closer to the 5000/1 shot. Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante were world-beaters starting every week at the King Power Stadium. A decade on though, the club recently lost at home to the Swans as relegation became a near reality. Only drawing against Hull City on Tuesday night, relegation was then confirmed.
Now, the club have to deal with the financial repercussions, with a monster-looking wage bill below, as per Footy Stats.
