The new Premier League season is just around the corner. You can sense it, can't you? The Super Sunday music is playing through your head, you keep imagining Martin Tyler saying 'AND IT'S LIVE'. The excitement is almost tangible.
With the return of Premier League football comes the return of some of the best bromances in football. Eric Dier and Dele Alli rose to prominence for their bromance in the 2015/16 season, while Wilfried Zaha and Patrick van Aanholt formed a strong bond last season, as demonstrated by the hashtag '#WilfAndPvADoingBits' that the latter always posts on social media.
But the strongest candidate for the best bromance in the league is without doubt Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren.
Liverpool's star player and the player many would identify as their weak link formed a friendship so strong last season that every social media post from one of the pair involving the other sends Liverpool's Twitter following into raptures.
The latest installment of banter thrown by one of them to the other has come in the form of an Instagram story from Mo Salah.
The story shows him speaking via FaceTime with Dejan Lovren and Virgil van Dijk. The photo is captioned 'With one of the best defenders in the world' followed by two eye roll emojis.
There are no prizes for which one of Lovren and Van Dijk he is identifying as one of the best defenders in the world.
