Mohamed Salah has provided a new update on his Liverpool future as he enters the final year of contract.
Fans have been eagerly-anticipating an update and the Reds legend has provided it in a new interview.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 32-year-old stated: “I came before the season, and I was like okay, I have one year left so just enjoy it, don’t think about the contract now, don’t think about anything and really just enjoy.
"I don’t want to think about next year and don’t want to think about my future.
"The most important thing is to take one day at a time and just be grateful to be here."
Fans are in turmoil after the news has broke and are fearing for the worst.
One Liverpool fan worryingly said: "Basically it's over. Hope he can win something big with us this season then. Probably the club already signalled their intention not to recontract."
Salah has made 351 appearances so far for Liverpool, registering over 300 goals or assists in this time. Regardless of his future, he will always be a legend at the club.
