65 games played, 50 goals scored

Mo Salah reached a half-century of goals for Liverpool on Wednesday night, scoring twice against Red Star Belgrade at Anfield.

The Egyptian international, who arrived from Roma in the summer of 2017, finished his first season back in the Premier League as the top scorer and was also named PFA Player of the Year.

Already leading against the Serbian champions thanks to Roberto Firmino’s opener, Salah scored his first goal of the night after shortly before half-time.

Early in the second-half, he added his second from the penalty spot, putting Liverpool in a commanding position in the game.

Liverpool had beaten Paris Saint-Germain in their opening game of this season’s Champions League but lost to a last-gasp Lorenzo Insigne goal away at Napoli in game two.
