Conor McGregor has criticised the way a couple of his fights were called by veteran UFC commentator Joe Rogan
Rogan has been a mainstay of the UFC's commentary team for two decades and he remains one of the most popular behind-the-scenes figures in the organisation.
But he is not, it would seem, universally loved as Conor McGregor isn't happy with certain comments made by Rogan during his recent fights.
'The Notorious' has ridiculed Rogan for his cage-side commentary of his rematch with Nate Diaz and his clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov and while he believes Rogan sometimes fails to give his honest opinion on what's going on in the Octagon, McGregor is not averse to the idea of appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience at some stage in the future.
"He’s a great man, he’s got a great following, he’s got crazy insight, great guests, maybe at some stage of the game [I’ll be on his podcast] who knows?" McGregor said at a recent Q&A event in Chicago.
"I’d like him to call a fight how he sees it correctly and not be reading off a script though.
"The Diaz rematch it was like he was reading from the first fight and that last one [against Nurmagomedov], he was talking about my face was being smashed in.
"I left that Octagon with a black eye, the same way his two rat cousins left. His brother and his cousin left the Octagon with a black eye, so what is he talking about?"
