You see these parents at a lot of youth sports events growing up.
They scream abuse from the sidelines. They give out to the referee when a decision doesn’t go their team’s way. And if their child doesn’t perform to their standard, they’ll let them know all about it at the end of the game.
While we’ve all experienced parents like this at games growing up, usually we stop seeing them once the athlete grows into an adult.
However, that isn’t the case for Russian MMA siblings the Kichigan brothers, who are trained by their mother.
Viktor Kichigin fought on the Fight Nights Global 67 card on Thursday, a card which featured former UFC Dublin headliner Diego Brandao in the main event. Unfortunately for Kichigin, his opponent Ruslan Yamanbaev was the better man on the night and scored a TKO victory via vicious ground and pound.

His mother clearly wasn’t happy with her son’s performance. You could see her jumping up and down at the side of the cage screaming ‘Get up!’ as Viktor got pummeled into oblivion.

After the referee intervened, she walked into the cage to clean her son up, whose face had become bloodied from the heavy strikes he had been eating.
It appeared as though she was consoling him, until she aggressively slapped him a couple of times, as punishment for losing the fight.
