Michael Carrick is facing an uncertain future at Manchester United as his contract edges closer to its expiry in the summer.

According to The Sun, the 34-year-old is “willing to listen to offers” from potential suitors, with Newcastle and PSG rumoured to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.

Carrick has struggled with injuries in the current campaign and is now free to talk to other clubs as he enters the last five months of his Old Trafford deal.GettyImages-483387750The England international was United’s player of the year in the 2012/13 title winning season, but has seen his influence decrease over the past two seasons.

There is talk that United may still offer Carrick a new contract, but he may be tempted by more games at a Premier League rival or a lucrative move to MLS.
