Former Manchester City striker Matias Vuoso has been making waves at the Copa America, but not for the country where he was born and raised.
The Argentinean striker, who had a short-lived spell with City in the early 2000s, has spent the last decade in Mexico, eventually qualifying to play for the country under residency rules.
He has been in the international wilderness for a few years, but returned to score twice against hosts Chile, including a second-half equaliser in the eye-catching 3-3 draw.
Vuoso is not the first striker to star for a new country after switching nationalities, and here at JOE we have picked out some of our favourites.
Eduardo da Silva (Brazil/Croatia)
Born in Rio de Janeiro, striker Eduardo started his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb and fired home more than 90 goals for the club.
During a run in which he helped Dinamo to two Croatian league championships, he became eligible for the Eastern European country and quickly worked his way up through the Under-21s into the full international side.
Moves to Shakhtar and then Arsenal followed, while his international career peaked when he led Croatia to European Championship qualification in 2008.
Diego Costa (Brazil/Spain)
Things haven’t gone quite as swimmingly for Chelsea striker Costa at international level.
After a couple of friendly appearances for Brazil in his youth, a successful few years at Atletico Madrid proved enough for him to switch his allegiances just in time for the World Cup, only to suffer a group stage exit.
Things have improved since, however, with the 26-year-old opening his account for his new country in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxembourg.

Cacau (Brazil/Germany)
It seems hard to believe now, but in the build-up to the 2010 World Cup, Germany were found wanting as far as top-class strikers were concerned.
Fortunately, Stuttgart striker Cacau, a Sao Paulo-born Brazilian, was in the form of his life and would finish the 2009/10 season with a career-high 13 Bundesliga goals.
Three goals in the lead-up to the World Cup in South Africa saw him included in the final squad, and the frontman would go on to find the net in a 4-0 group stage demolition of Australia.
