Young left-back Benjamin Mendy had only scored one career goal before the match, but he was clearly watching Lassana Diarra against Troyes.
In a strike that was almost a mirror image of Diarra’s effort, Mendy met a corner first time to find the net from distance.
Mendy’s effort even clipped the bar on the way in, which we all know makes it automatically better.
