Fans cry double standards as Marcos Rojo isn’t charged for “stamp” on Eden Hazard

This hasn’t gone down well.

Manchester United have been charged by the FA with failing to control their players at Chelsea. However, Marcos Rojo won’t be punished for his alleged stamp on Eden Hazard.

United could be fined for surrounding referee Michael Oliver, after he sent Ander Herrera off for a foul on Eden Hazard in the first-half of the team’s FA Cup quarter-final loss at Stamford Bridge.

They have until 6pm on Friday to respond to the charge.

Yet, Rojo is in the clear, as the referee confirmed that he saw the incident, but didn’t think it was worthy of action during the game.

Many on social media felt Rojo should have been given a ban for the incident, as Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings was banned for five games after he stamped on Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier this month.

However, the United defender won’t face a ban, which has led to many calls of double standards.
