Marcelo had some harsh words for Real Madrid fans over his birthday message to Neymar

It's always touching to see greats of the game wishing each other well, from the marks of respect shown to departing legend Frank Lampard, right down to players wishing each other happy birthday.

For example, it's Neymar's birthday today (and many happy returns to him), so it was nice - though not exactly earth-shattering - to see his Brazil teammate Marcelo wish the 25-year-old a happy birthday via Instagram.

  But, according to the commenters on his Instagram post, Marcelo had forgotten that today is also Cristiano Ronaldo's birthday, and that he should have wished the 32-year-old Portuguese many happy returns too. However, Marcelo was clearly not too happy about being told what to do, as he told the commenters to "shut the fuck up".   https://twitter.com/neymarvellous/status/828272595321679872

Fans commented that he should also have said happy birthday to teammate Cristiano Ronaldo

 

To which Marcelo replied...
