Manchester United have released their squad numbers for the 2015/16 season.
While the biggest talking point was the lack of a number 9 in the squad, there were still some surprises.
In particular, it was interesting to see that defender Luke Shaw had swapped the number 3 for the less conventional 23.
Obviously, this left United fans such as Rob Burke with some unexpected difficulty – any Shaw replica shirts with the number 3 on the back were suddenly out of date less than a week after the latest kit launch.

While some fans might use some masking tape to improvise an extra digit, Shaw stepped in to ensure Burke wouldn’t be out of pocket.
