Manchester United are said to be closing in on huge deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Forget that Manchester United slumped to another Premier League defeat at Sunderland, it hasn’t stopped them from being linked with another of the biggest names in world football.

Instead of the usual Neymar, Bale or Ronaldo stories, The Daily Mail claim that United are ‘closing in’ on a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese striker has bagged 26 goals this season, and United are reportedly willing to shell out £70m to bring him to Old Trafford.

If United do make a move, it’s unlikely that they will be unchallenged. Aubameyang has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, who are still thought to be admirers of the Dortmund man.

With hopes of Champions League football returning to Old Trafford deteriorating, attracting stars such as Aubameyang will be anything but straightforward.

Aside from his free-flowing goals, it seems Aubameyang will also bring an interesting dress sense with him if he does head to the Premier League.
