Man Utd target Hirving Lozano agrees move to Napoli

Lozano had been linked with a move to Old Trafford since last summer’s World Cup

Mexican international Hirving Lozano has reportedly agreed to join Napoli from PSV Eindhoven.

Having scored a memorable winner for his country over Germany during last summer’s Russian World Cup, the winger has caught the eye of several of the continent’s top clubs with his impressive form for PSV this season.

Though Manchester United have repeatedly been linked, reports from Italy now claim his move to Napoli is all but done.

Corriere dello Sport claims a meeting about the player was recently held between his agent, Mino Raiola, Napoli manager, Carlo Ancelotti and the club’s owner Aurelio de Laurentiis.

A fee of around €40m (£34m) is said to have been agreed with PSV and the 23-year-old will reportedly sign a five-year deal upon his arrival in Naples.

The next time Lozano sees action may well be in Napoli’s colours. The winger’s season came to a premature end after he injured his knee in the league meeting with Willem II at the end of last month. He has, however, avoided ligament damage.

Napoli are set to finish the Serie A season as runners-up to Juventus, who sealed a record eighth successive title last month.
