The Red Devils attacker spent much of the season on the sidelines with a number of injuries and illness, missing 12 games.
However, the 24-year-old still attracted interest from Antonio Conte's side, especially given that he is English - which would help Spurs meet the quota of home-grown players - and the fact that he has just one year left on his contract.
Rashford keen to stay at United
Spurs were told that Rashford was keen on remaining at Old Trafford in an attempt to impress new manager Erik ten Hag, who replaced interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
The England international started just 13 of his 25 league matches and admitted, publicly and privately, that his performances had not been good enough. Despite this, United have planned to open contract talks with him this summer.
Ten Hag will talk to his players when the squad resume for pre-season training, however, he has still been in contact with football director John Murtough on the make-up of the squad for next season. The Red Devils players will be given the opportunity to prove themselves on the club’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia next month.
United are also exploring the possibility of signing Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, but it is thought that the two parties are not yet close to finalising a deal.
