As well as cup wins away at Arsenal and Chelsea, Solskjaer has also guided United to a Champions League quarter final for the first time in five years - beating Paris Saint-Germain in dramatic fashion in the French capital earlier in the month.
The former striker spent most of his playing career at Old Trafford, scoring 126 goals in 366 appearances for United between 1996 and 2007 - most famously the winner in the 1999 Champions League final.
