Manchester United have agreed a deal with TV and film giants Lionsgate to create a new series focused on the historic Old Trafford club.
News of the deal makes for another surprising chapter in what has been a chaotic start to 2026 for the Red Devils.
In the last fortnight alone, the club's men's first team have been led by three different managers.
Under their first interim head coach, Darren Fletcher, Man United crashed out of the FA Cup at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion, meaning they will play just 40 competitive fixtures this season, their lowest total since 1915.

The new TV deal comes six-months on from a decision by then-head coach Ruben Amorim to scrap a proposed Amazon Prime "All or Nothing" behind-the-scenes style documentary about the Red Devils' 2025/26 season.
At the time, Amorim was said to have had concerns it would have disrupted match-day preparations.
Weeks on from Amorim's departure, and according to a new report in The Athletic, Man United will now be part of a major new TV show.
As revealed by The Athletic writer Adam Crafton, the new Man United show will take the shape of a "dramatised retelling of the club’s history" rather than a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
The new series is said to be modelled on the style of Netflix's vastly popular "The Crown."
The Crown was based on another of the United Kingdom's best-loved institutions: the Royal Family.
While the series is still in its developmental stage, per the report, Jed Mercurio has already been signed on by Lionsgate to work on the series as writer and director.
Mercurio is known to British TV fans for making the hit BBC series Line of Duty and Bodyguard.
While it is currently unclear which historical periods will feature throughout the programme, Manchester United are certainly not short of fascinating stories.
From the glory years under Sir Alex Ferguson, to the troubles faced by the likes of Jose Mourinho, Erik ten Hag and the aforementioned Amorim — as they all tried and failed to bring the Red Devils back to greatness— Man United have always captured attention.
No details regarding when production on the series will begin have yet been revealed by Lionsgate.
