Liverpool fans are saying the same thing after drawing Roma in Champions League

It’s exactly what they wanted and they’re all saying the same thing.

The Champions League draw is in and we know that Liverpool will take on Roma in the next round of the competition.

Bayern Munich will take on Real Madrid in the other semi, and whilst there’s no easy side of the draw at this stage of the competition, the Reds will definitely have preferred to get the Italian outfit.

The matches will take place on 25th April and 2nd May – with the sides having only ever met three times previously.

Liverpool’s front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have contributed a total of 23 goals in the competition so far.

Defender Andy Robertson said ahead of the draw the team was brimming with confidence after their win over Man City in the quarters.

“This club have been here before and they know how hard it is, regardless of who you are playing, to get to the final and try and win this trophy,” he said. “We don’t care who we get – we know how hard it’s going to be and we need to try and work so hard to get to the final because we need to deserve it.

“If we can put in performances like we did over these two legs (against City) then hopefully that’s enough.”

And, as you can imagine, fans of the Scouse outfit had the same reaction to the draw – that they’re going to go on and win it.
