Liverpool Football Club have announced the appointment of Scott Rogers as manager of the Liverpool Ladies team.
Rogers will assume the position immediately having worked as assistant boss under Scott Beard for the last three years, and after namesake Brendan's tenure at Anfield he'll probably be quick to stress there's no 'D' in his surname.
Beard, meanwhile, will take over as manager of the Boston Breakers in the US having helped the Reds win Women's Super League titles in 2013 and 2014.

“We have had a tremendous run and although we were unfortunate with injuries last season we have a young, hungry squad and I am confident we will be competitive again next season.”
