Usain Bolt beat Justin Gatlin by 1/100 of a second to retain the 100m title at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
It was scintillating performance from the Jamaican, as he overcame Gatlin by the smallest of margins to twin the title for a third time…

Bolt was unusually emotional after the victory: “This means a lot because I’ve been struggling all season, it’s taken me a while to work things out. It’s been up and down but it’s okay now.”
